God governs creation through His original engineering decisions.
God governs through the design similarities (see use of “kind” in Gen. 1:11, 12, 21) and the details (Job 38-41) of each design. Pigs don’t fly, horses never breathe under water, and whales don’t dance. These designs are what the Bible calls “according to nature”. To rebel against these designs is to go “against nature” (KJV Rom. 1:26, 27). This would be to misuse, twist, or pervert the designs of God. Humanity is currently rebelling against God’s designs.
God has even limited humanity through the design (the curse) of death, lest the unthinkable occur- people who go on sinning forever. (Gen. 3:22-24)
God governs creation through his sustaining/operating power.
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” (Col. 1:15-17)
“God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power” (Hebrews 1:1-3)
God’s current sustaining and operating work reveals the amount of power God possesses. He possesses the power to hold together all things, and thus must be omnipotent.
God is the Creator-Sustainer who is by right the Owner-King.
God is not playing on the beach in some alternate universe! He’s involved in every connection and operation of Creation. He’s the Creator who remains, as the Sustainer. He has every right to own and rule the kingdom He has made and sustains!
“O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. (Psalm 95:1-6)
